Akira, a Japanese student currently studying at the South Australian College of English is also playing soccer at Birkalla. Akira dreamed of playing soccer in Adelaide and these dreams came true at the end of last year. Realising he needed to improve his English communication Akira enrolled at SACE. He says he really enjoys the small classes and meeting students from so many different countries. He thought Adelaide would be quieter as friends had told him Adelaide was quiet city but he says “its not so quiet!” and there is lots to do. He says he loves his class, he enjoys the class atmosphere and the student co-operation, encouraged by his teacher, making English fun. He is particularly pleased with his progress in writing. When asked would he recommend SACE to other Thai students, we received a one word answer, YES!
